| My absence from Brazil for nine years made me need
to feel close to it, to know it better and to dig into its rich culture. This work is the
result of that search. The constant good vibes during the recording sessions from everyone
as well as the freshness and the warmth, the result of the musical blend of seven
nationalities, reflects to me the Brazilian society and, at the same time, proves racial
boundaries are to be disregarded. Rogério Botter Maio |

| "Rogério has been wearing
several hats -composer, arranger, bass player (the latter is his main instrument)- as all
these capacities are pretty well documented on this début recording. Soon after
starting his career in his home state, São Paulo in Brazil, Rogério left to Europe where
he shared his activities between performances and studies in different cities. Between
1987-91, he worked extensively in various styles of music as well as studying classical
and jazz for a couple of years at Hochschüle für Musik in Graz,
Austria. Manfredo Fest, pianist and composer
